Dixie Wilkinson, Hairstylist 512-663-1142
I grew up in a large family in a very small town, Crary, N, Dakota I'm sure everyone has heard of it...not! I started cutting hair in my parent's kitchen, ala Dixiestyle, I had no ides what I was doing, but it seemed to be working for me. When I finished school I moved to the big city, Grand Forks, N. Dakota. That's where I received my cosmetology degree at the Hair Desiners Academy. Actually, one day my Mom came to visit, she said we were going shopping, the next thing I know, I'm at the cosmetology school signing paperwork to start school. Don't get me wrong, I love the industry I'm in. I just hate the fact that my Mom pulled a fast one on me. I thought I was too cool and smart to have that done to me by my Mom. After I graduated from school, I worked in Grand Forks for 4 years for Regis Hairstylists. There was alot of opportunity to transfer throughout the company to different locations and I was ready to see what was out there. This little girl has got to fly! I had a friend in Austin. I thought that was a good place to start my life and career. So I packed two suitcases and jumped on a plane to Austin, TX. Little did I know I was going leaving the freezer and jumping into the frying pan so to speak as far as the weather goes. But I take the heat over the cold any day. Austin is where my training really began. I attended as many advanced classes as I could, and haven't stopped yet. Fashion changes yearly. In order to keep up with the times, you must evolve with it. I became part of the Redkin Specialists Team about 12 years ago, which is an honor to be a part of. Their hairdressers are an amazing group of people. So I work mostly with Redkin products, but will branch out if I come across something new and exciting. So now I have been standing behind a hairstyling chair for 25 years now, and haven't regretted one minute. It validates me to make my clients feel like a million bucks when they leave. So that's my story, well some of it. I'll tell you more if you come see me, and maybe you can tell me yours. I'm a good listener. So come see me, we'll talk, laugh, and I'll do some great hair for you.

skincare lines, but is most delighted to be using Emminence at Asberry's
A'Salson. Helene is well-versed in working with a range of different skin types
and practices both therapuetic and relaxing treatments.
She is cerified in both western and eastern techniques such as the art of
face-mapping and microdermabrasion, to holistic treatments and IPL (Intense
Pulse Light Therapy). Each session is customed tailored to meet each client's
needs, whether with a focus on extractions and purification and/or soothing and
relaxtion.
Some of her best clients were instant facial converts after one session, as most
are pleasantly pleased to report an appointment with Helene to be the best of
both worlds - more relaxing than a full body massage with real skin results.
